Here is exactly how the billing model works, with no small print.
You start with a 28-day free trial for up to 25 users - no credit card required. At the end of the trial you confirm your licensed role count and choose how you pay: rolling monthly by Stripe, or annually in advance by Stripe or against a purchase order.
Additions take effect immediately either way. On monthly, your next monthly payment simply bills the higher number. On annual, the extra roles are charged pro-rata for the rest of the contract year. Adding roles may also move you into a lower per-role rate band.
Reductions are scheduled rather than immediate. On monthly they take effect at your next monthly payment date. On annual they take effect at your contract anniversary, when you confirm the roles you want for the coming year and pricing is recalculated.
